HULL'S Tony Booth won the
vacant Central Area cruiserweight
title when he outpointed
Art Stacey of Leeds
in a cracking 10-rounder on
the Hull & District Sporting
Club's 13th show at the
Royal Hotel.

WELSH southpaw Floyd Havard aims to
please his home town fans while awaiting
bigger things when he defends his British
super-featherweight title against former
champion Michael Armstrong of Manchester at
Brangwyn Hall, Swansea, tonight (Friday).
Havard is hoping to secure a shot at fellow-
Welshman Steve Robinson for the WBO 9st title,
and to prove he can still be strong at the weight he
took on Midlander Elvis Parsley at featherweight in
March, stopping him in six rounds.

BECKENHAM-based welterweight contender Kevin "The Look" Lueshing insists that,
without blowing his own trumpet, he has always been a hit with the girls. "When 1
first turned pro there was a lot of local interest and all the girls at the modelling
agency seemed to follow me," he recalls.
The 27-year-old part-time actor, who meets Welshman Michael Smyth in a British title eliminator
at Cardiff Ice Rink on May 20, adds: "1 think they add a bit of spice to the scene anyway."
Away from the ring Lueshing can boast of slots on Minder and Eastenders plus a string of
advertising, catalogue and stunt work.

BELFAST southpaw sam
Storey resurrected his flagging
career, and won a
Lonsdale Belt outright into
the bargain, when he outpointed
champion All Forbes over
12 rounds for the British super-middleweight
title at York Hall.
